DSSS - Our archaeal origins

In this talk we will discuss the likely origins of the eukaryotic cell and will consider whether they evolved from the outside-in or the inside-out. Since aspects of our biology have clear roots in archaea, will then dive in and explore the cell biology of archaeal relatives of eukaryotes - focusing on ESCRT-III and the cell division cycle.
