Events
Throughout the year, the Max Planck Institute for Biology Tübingen hosts a wide range of events that invite people of all ages to explore the exciting research taking place at the Institute. From the regular Campus Open Day and participation in Girls' Day to visits by primary school classes and collaboration with local secondary schools, these activities offer opportunities to meet researchers, go behind the scenes, and engage with science firsthand.
Whether taking part in a workshop, joining a guided tour, or attending a public lecture, visitors can gain unique insights into the research done here and the people behind it.
Together with the other institutes on campus, the Max Planck Institute for Biology Tübingen and Friedrich Miescher Laboratory open its doors to the public. Visitors can explore behind the scenes of our expansive campus.

School classes from Tübingen and the surrounding district regularly visit us to experience science beyond the classroom. From primary to secondary school, pupils explore the labs, meet researchers and gain age-appropriate insights into how biological research is carried out.
For the nationwide Girls' Day, we regularly invite girls in class 10 for a visit to find out more about the work of a biological researcher.

Every year on 3rd October, our institutes take part in Doors Open with the Mouse ("Türen auf mit der Maus"), a nationwide event organised by the German children's TV program
