Open Day

The three Max Planck Institutes on the Tübingen Campus, the Max Planck Institute for Biology Tübingen, the MPI for Biological Cybernetics and the MPI for Intelligent Systems together with the Friedrich Miescher Laboratory open their doors and laboratories to the public.

The Campus Open Day invites visitors of all ages to experience research up close. At the Max Planck Institute for Biology Tübingen and Friedrich Miescher Laboratory, we organise guided tours, hands-on activities, interactive demonstrations, and accessible talks for visitors to learn more about the research into algae, plants, insects, worms, proteins, and the human microbiome. The Open Day also offers a unique opportunity to meet our researchers, ask questions, and gain an authentic insight into everyday life at our institute. At the same time, the Day provides our researchers with a valuable opportunity to engage directly with the public and share their research with a wider audience.
