Your path to us

With its own bus stop and other stops at the Technology Park, the Max Planck Campus Tübingen has very good public transport connections of several bus lines to the city center and the main train station. In addition, visitors may ask for a parking permit allowing to use the parking spaces in the immediate vicinity of the institute buildings. We are looking forward to your visit.

The nearest airport is Stuttgart. From there, you can take the Airport Sprinter (bus line 828), which will take you to the central bus station in Tübingen in just under an hour. From there, you can take bus line 3 which will take you directly to the "Max Planck Institute" stop. The navigation bar to the left directs you to a travel planner of the local public transportation service. 

Intercity trains, including the high-speed ICE service, will bring you to Stuttgart main station, from where a local train takes about an hour to reach Tübingen. From here the Max Planck Campus can be reached by taxi (10 minutes) or bus (20 to 30 minutes including walking and waiting times).

Thanks to a navigation system or smartphone, it has become very easy to find us by car. The traffic routes are very well established. Together with the Technology Park, the Max Planck Institutes are located in a traffic-calmed zone with numerous parking options. For planning with your navigation system or smartphone, our addresses and coordinates you find to the left. 

Please note the need for a parking permit with your license plate number, which you will receive after registering with us and must visibly place in the vehicle. In the wider vicinity of the institute, you will also find fee-based parking lots.
