Workshop and Technical Management Team

The Workshop and Technical Management Team of the Max Planck Institute for Biology Tübingen is responsible for all areas related to building management and technical infrastructure of the Max Planck Institute for Biology Tübingen, Friedrich Miescher Laboratory and Max Planck House. Housed in a fully-equipped workshop on campus, the team delivers on-site technical support and ensures that general operations run as smoothly as possible.

• Maintenance and development of the buildings and the technical infrastructure.
• Operation and maintenance of the electrical power supply, building automation, cooling and heating systems.
• Maintenance, testing and repairing of electronic equipment.
• Operation and maintenance of autoclaves.
• Production of tailored mechanical parts and setups for experiments with mechanical and electronic components.
• 24/7 (technical emergency services).
