The book contains a CD with the programs that allows to repeat the simulations on a PC. The parameters can be changed interactively. The source code is provided in BASIC (DOS). With compilers available on the web , the programs can be changed. In this way, new interactions can be included. Also included are simulations of more general pattern-forming situations, e.g., regeneration in hydra. Animated simulations with explanations and comparisons to the real pattern are given in html format, which can be inspected with any browser.
